Rückblick U23: Vizetitel war Lohn für eine tolle Saison

Mit Platz zwei im Herbst hätten nach dem Komplettumbruch im letzten Sommer nur die wenigsten gerechnet. Die Erwartungen wurden im Winter dementsprechend in die Höhe geschraubt. Dass dann ausgerechnet der Saisonstart in die Hose ging, war umso bitterer. Gleich zum Auftakt war man im Schlagerspiel gegen den Herbstmeister aus Neunkirchen chancenlos und verlor mit 0:3. Noch bitterer war die 2:3-Heimniederlage gegen Puchberg (nach 2:1-Führung). Zwei Pleiten zu Beginn. Doch man blieb ruhig: Ein 9:0 in Schlöglmühl brachte verlorenes Selbstvertrauen zurück, was wichtig war, denn in der Folge ging es gegen St. Egyden, mit denen man sich um den zweiten Platz stritt. Eine frühe 4:0-Führung nach 20 Minuten legte den Grundstein zu einem wichtigen Sieg. Die Überraschung war groß, dass man eine Woche später beim 0:4 in Natschbach (waren aber auch beste Rückrundenmannschaft) sang- und klanglos die höchste Niederlage der Saison kassierte. Es sollte der letzte Rückschlag in dieser Saison bleiben. Ab sofort war der SVSF auf Sieg eingestellt. Die Goger-Truppe besiegte Schottwien 3:1, gewann gegen Willendorf nach 0:1-Pausenstand noch mit 5:1 und landete mit dem 13:0-Derbysieg in Ternitz einen absoluten Triumph. Die Jungs waren nun gut drauf, da machte es auch nichts, dass der Trainer personell (aufgrund der Notlage in der KM, dort fehlten zwischenzeitlich neun Mann) improvisieren musste. In Hochwolkersdorf schlug man von einem zweimaligen Rückstand zurück und siegte mit 4:3. In den letzten drei Partien ließ man nichts mehr anbrennen: Gegen Hochneukirchen, Grünbach und Mönich schoss man 17 Tore und beendete die Saison auf dem sensationellen zweiten Platz. Vizemeistertitel im Jahr 1 nach dem Neuaufbau, eine geile Sache. Nicht nur sportlich, sondern auch outputtechnisch war das Frühjahr wieder erfolgreich. Bestes Beispiel war Kilian Posch, der sich einen Stammplatz in der KM erkämpfte. Weitere Akteure haben in der Rückrunde wieder einen Schritt nach vorne gemacht und werden eine Chance beim KM-Coach Manuel Mannsfeldner bekommen. Dazu drängen von unten auch die U16-Kicker nach, die in der Jubiläumssaison U17 spielen und somit behutsam aufgebaut werden. Alles in allem Wahnsinn, was sich hier im letzten Jahr entwickelt hat. Jetzt heißt es, dran zu bleiben…
